You Don't Know Jack – mobile quiz game for iOS and Apple TV. This game is based on the You Don't Know Jack 2011.

This new live multiplayer version of the venerated interactive trivia franchise allows your iOS device or Apple TV to serve as the primary display while other mobile devices, running the free JackPad app, turn your iOS or Android device into a controller.

This version of the game is strictly for live multiplayer parties in which 1 device, like the Apple TV connected display (via AirPlay) serves or an iPhone or iPad as the main game and up to 4 players join in on their iPhone or iPod Touch, utilizing it as a game controller. In fact, you can even use an Android or Kindle if you choose as a controller option. The game was available on the App Store with a free trial episode and 30 additional 11-question episodes available as in-app purchases. The core mechanics of the 2013 Ouya and 2011 console releases are all present including Screw your Neighbor™ and the Wrong Answer of the Game™.

The game uses the same episodes as the OUYA release of the game.

“You Don't Know Jack Party blurs the lines between mobile and console gaming” said Mike Bilder, GM, Jackbox Games. “This new app is our first of several planned releases that leverage mobile technology like Apple’s AirPlay to bring people together to play on whatever screen they choose.”

“We believe that the kinds of games we make are the most fun when played on the couch with your friends and family,” said Harry Gottlieb, founder and creator of You Don't Know Jack. “So along with our other mobile games, we’re looking at every technology possible to allow us to create experiences that get players having fun together.”

Trivia[]

  • If you don’t have an Apple TV but you do have the Apple Digital AV Adapter, that will work too.
  • This is the first game to use the Jackbox Games branding rather than Jellyvision.
