You Don't Know Jack: Mock 2 is a video game released in 2000, on the PlayStation platform and also the second game in the You Don't Know Jack series of games on the PlayStation.
As in The Ride, Each "episode" focuses on a single theme, which is automatically sequentially chosen for you. For example, if the theme is "plastic", the questions may concern everything from which brand of plastic was invented first to album titles from the Plastic Ono Band.
Mock 2 revives several question types from past games:
- Coinkydink is the same as Roadkill from The Ride: 7 pairs of clues appear on the screen, with potential connections cycling in the center. For $1000 each, Players must buzz in when the phrase in the center of the screen form a connection between the pair of clues: for example, if the clues are "apartment in England" and "soda without the fizz", buzz in while "flat" is displayed on the screen. At the end, players also need to find the common thread among the 7 correct connections for a $5000 bonus.
- Wendithap'n returns from Louder! Faster! Funnier!: A reference event is shown at the top of the screen for the whole question. For $1000 each, players must buzz in to answer if each of the 7 additional events occured "Before" the reference event, "After" it, or something that "Never" happened.
The shoulder buttons (L1, L2, R1, R2) activate the buzzer, and the main controller buttons correspond with the options displayed on the screen (from top to bottom: Triangle, Square, Circle, Cross). When playing with 3 players, Players 2 and 3 must share Controller 2, with Player 2 being assigned the left shoulder buttons as their buzzer, and Player 3 being assigned the ones on the right.
The visuals on screen are minimalist, with simple 3D shapes constantly pulsating on the screen.
