The Jackbox Party Starter is a collection of three previously-released games from Jackbox Games. It was created for those unfamiliar with the franchise and is just a fun way to get together with people of all ages.
On March 24 was announced the first title in the pack, which was Quiplash 3, Tee K.O. was announced on April 19. The third game announced on April 28 was Trivia Murder Party 2. On June 14, Jackbox Games announced on Twitter that the game would be released on June 30. Since the announcement of the third game, it was possible to add the game to your wishlist on Steam. The game costs $19.99 and is available for PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. Since April 27, 2023, the game has appeared in Amazon Luna subscription.

Localization

The games in Jackbox Party Starter will have the option to be translated into French, Italian, German and Spanish. The localization includes: subtitles, voice actor dialogs and even the end credits songs.

Settings from The Jackbox Party Pack 8 will be added to each of the games in The Jackbox Party Starter, which includes:

- Moderation
- Text Filtering
- Updated pause and settings menus
Also some top secret new features that will be included in The Jackbox Party Pack 9.
QR code
QR code
On May 13, Jackbox Games tweeted a top secret post that the "Lobby QR code" feature will be added to the Party Starter. This allows you to hold your phone up to the screen, scan the QR code. It enters the room code and goes to the desired URL. This will take you about four out of four steps and will allow you to just automatically join the game.
On July 20, after the release of the game, an update was released that fixed some bugs and added QR code feature. On August 25, 2022 it was announced that The Jackbox Party Pack 9 will have the same feature.
