Quixort is a trivia sorting factory and the last fifth game to be announced for The Jackbox Party Pack 9, revealed on July 15th, 2022. The game can be played as with your team to sort the falling answers into their proper order before they hit the floor, or you can play in single-player mode.
Gameplay[]
This is a game like Poll Mine, where you work together with your team. Only three rounds, when a new round begins, the team has a choice between an already known prompt, where it shows what needs to be sorted and what category it is in, or a "Mystery Prompt", where it is unknown what kind of prompt it is.
In the first round you have to sort things based on a prompt (ex. Game Consoles: Oldest Console - Newest Console). In the second round there are fake blocks that can be destroyed in the trash (in the game they are on the side to the left and right). In the final round there is an opportunity for not one, but two chances to sort the prompt correctly.
When the first team finishes the round, the "Quixover" begins, it shows how accurately the players have sorted. There are three things that determine how many points a team will get in the end:
- The first is when the block is in the right spot, for which 1000 points are awarded.
- The second is when the block is close to the right spot in the sorting - this gives 250 points, but if the further order is correct, then 500 points are added for each block (in the game this is called "Streak").
- Thirdly, when a block is incorrect in the prompt and it should have been destroyed in the trash (resulting in the team missing out on the Quixort bonus), or when the block is far from the right spot, the team does not get points for this.
The same happens to the second team, and then the total score of the two teams for the round is shown. At the end of all three rounds, who has the most points in the team is revealed the winner.
Forever Mode[]
Quixort has a mode called Forever Mode, which there are no teams for. It's like normal Quixort, but it could go on forever (or until you get tired)! After each round, correctly sorted blocks disappear. All other blocks turn into crystals which can only be removed by blocks part of a streak. Falling blocks speed up as rounds pass, giving the player less time to sort blocks.
Controller Features[]
Additionally, Jackbox Games added some controller features such as:
- A real-time map on phone to show your block position in case you’re experiencing lag from playing on a stream.
- An audience function that lets you sort and see how your score compares to the players’.

Trivia[]

- On the 99th round, the game will end and the kill screen is shown (similar to Pac-Man's Kill Screen), after which Credits appear.[↑]
- If you start making a perfect Streak of 4 blocks or more, there will be a rainbow gradient to each block.[↑]
- With a 2% chance of Easter egg appearing, Tom Gottlieb will appear in the lower left corner when a block is placed. This is similar to the "Toasty" reference from Mortal Kombat.[↑]
- Sometimes an earthling from Zeeple Dome can appear in the background traveling through a pipe.
- If you name yourself "Warren" or "Lampoon" you will get a clown hat on top of your character.
- There is a 2% chance the Lobby's countdown will say "3, 1, 2" instead.
- If you name yourself "Bogo", "Bubble", "Heap", "Insertion", "Quick Sort", "Radix" or "Select" instead you will see the corresponding sorting algorithm instead of feeding the Trash Monster.
- There are alternate trash monsters on your controller if you name yourself "Circus Dad", "Feytwee"/"Mel", or "Hector"/"Rolemodels"
- Quixort had gone through many beta designs for the robots before landing on the ones seen in game.
- The name Quixort refers to QuickSort, a popular sorting algorithm used in programming.
- In the Credits Song, two more sorting mechanisms are mentioned. Bubble sort is a simple but nowadays unused algorithm, as it runs slow. Bogosort is an algorithm based on generating random orderings of its list until one is ordered exactly as it is supposed to. It runs extremely slowly, and nobody except bozos would take it seriously.
