Learn Television was an educational video company, which morphed into an interactive educational company in 1993.
History[]
The Mind's Treasure Chest[]
It's biggest educational video was "The Mind's Treasure Chest" a feature length educational comedy about the library targeted for middle school students. It won numerous awards, including the top award for grades 5-8 at the National Educational Film Festival in 1991, and a Gold Plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival in the same year.
That's a Fact, Jack![]
Learn Television's biggest interactive product was called "That's a Fact, Jack!" (TFJ). TFJ was a hosted game show quizzing students on works of young adult literature, covering 450 titles.
TFJ was the forerunner to You Don't Know Jack, the irreverent quiz show party game that debuted in 1995. Learn Television wasn't a great name for a company putting out a CD-ROM based entertainment product, so changed the name to "Jellyvision".
